Plug Walk AI
The 2018 alien meme, the song, and the 2026 car-window dollar clip redone with your photo.
Plug Walk AI is the October 2026 trend where a hand passes a dollar out of a car window and the person outside takes it and does the Plug Walk, named after Rich The Kid's 2018 song. RapTwins makes it from one photo of an adult: 12 seconds, vertical 9:16, 480p to 1080p, the trend's own sound in the MP4, no watermark. Clips cost from 23 credits; a $5 trial covers one.

What is the Plug Walk AI video, and how is it different from the alien meme?
Three different things share the name. Most "Plug Walk AI videos" today are the third one.
| When | What it is | |
|---|---|---|
| The song | 2018 | "Plug Walk" by Rich The Kid, from his album The World Is Yours. |
| The alien music video | March 2018 | The official video, directed by DAPS: Rich The Kid deals with alien "plugs" in the desert in a Breaking Bad-style skit, with the viral "alien" Lil Mayo. This is where the Plug Walk alien meme comes from. |
| The car-window clip | October 2026 | A 12-second phone clip from inside a stopped car at sunset: a hand holds a dollar out of the window, the person outside takes it, steps back and does a low, bouncy Plug Walk. No alien in it. |
| The AI version | Since mid-October 2026 | The car-window clip redone from one photo, so the person who takes the dollar is you. Apps and sites call it the Plug Walk AI filter or Plug Walk filter. |
So the alien belongs to the 2018 video, and the AI trend copies the 2026 car-window clip. They only share the song and the walk.
Who is the alien in the Plug Walk music video, and what does the meme mean?
The alien is Lil Mayo, an internet personality who was already going viral as "the alien" when the video came out in March 2018. In the video Rich The Kid drives into the desert to meet his suppliers, and the suppliers turn out to be aliens: a joke on rap slang, where a "plug" is the person you get your supply from. Reviewers at the time read it as a Breaking Bad parody.
The "Plug Walk alien meme" is an alien dancing to the song: GIFs and short edits of the alien strutting, cut from the 2018 video or redone with look-alike alien figures. The original is the official music video itself. The meme and the AI car-window trend are separate jokes; this page’s tool makes the car-window one, with a person, not an alien.
What song and sound does the Plug Walk AI video use?
The trend plays Rich The Kid’s "Plug Walk", the same song the alien meme dances to. Here the downloaded MP4 keeps the car-window take’s own audio, cut to the 12 seconds, so the walk lands on the beat it was filmed to. Some tools export a silent clip or a generated beat instead; you don’t need to add anything before posting.
It is not a "Plug Walk AI cover". An AI cover is the song re-sung by a cloned voice; this tool changes the person in the video and leaves the sound as it is. It does not write or show lyrics either. If you want the official sound tagged on your post, mute the clip in TikTok or Reels and pick "Plug Walk" from the app’s music library.
What happens in the 12 seconds?
The template follows the car-window take beat by beat. This is what your photo will do:
| Time | What happens |
|---|---|
| 0–2.5 s | You walk up from the roadside towards the open window and notice the dollar the driver is holding out. |
| 2.5–4.5 s | You smile, reach in and take the bill once; the driver’s hand goes back into the car. Your face is closest to the lens here. |
| 4.5–6.5 s | Still holding the dollar, you step back onto the gravel until your whole body is in the shot. |
| 6.5–12 s | The Plug Walk: knees bent and bouncing, weight swinging side to side, small heel-and-toe steps, shoulders loose. |
The camera never leaves the car; the driver is only a hand. The sunset, the traffic light, the palms and the gravel corner stay the same in every video.
How do I make a Plug Walk AI video from one photo?
11. Open the Plug Walk template
The generator on this page opens on Meme remake with Plug Walk picked. The window, the dollar, the moves and the 9:16 shape are fixed, so there is no prompt to write. It is the same effect people call the Plug Walk AI filter.
22. Upload one photo of an adult
One person, face sharp and turned towards the camera, full length if you can, so the shoes and legs show in the dance. You wear the clothes from your photo; if it stops at the waist, the outfit is continued down to the feet.
33. Pick a model and resolution, then make it
Seedance 2.0 Mini at 480p is the default and the cheapest. Seedance 2.0 Fast, Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.5 and MiniMax H3 are in the list for sharper faces and up to 1080p. The price is on the button. Download the MP4 with the sound and post it.
How much does a Plug Walk AI video cost, and is there a watermark?
It is paid in credits, and the price shows before you make it. It depends on the model and the resolution; the 12-second take is billed along with your 12 seconds. Credits come from a one-time $5 trial (73 credits) or a plan from $9 a month (240 credits), see pricing.
| Model | 480p | 720p | 1080p |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2.0 Mini (default) | 23 | 48 | — |
| Seedance 2.0 Fast | 48 | 104 | — |
| Seedance 2.0 | 81 | 174 | 436 |
| Seedance 2.5 | 117 | 262 | 645 |
| MiniMax H3 | — | 116 (768p) | 185 (2K) |
Every download is a 9:16 MP4 with the take’s sound and no watermark. A clip that fails is refunded in full, so a retry only costs what the new clip costs.
What the Plug Walk AI video can’t do
Put you in the alien video
It remakes the 2026 car-window clip only: no desert, no alien, no Rich The Kid. For your own scene and your own bars, use the AI rap video generator.
Make a GIF, lyrics or an AI cover
The result is one MP4 with the original take’s sound. A GIF has to be cut from it in another app; the song’s words are not shown; no voice is cloned.
Two people or a pet
The take has one person outside the car, so the template takes one adult photo. Dogs and cats are not supported here, and a group or couple version is not possible.
Fix a blurry or half-hidden face
The face is closest to the lens at 2.5–5.5 seconds, so a soft, side-on or sunglasses photo shows there first. Hands and the bill are the hardest part; a hand that melts into the dollar is a model mistake, not your photo. Some photos are refused by the video model’s safety check; those clips are refunded.
Use anyone’s photo
Only adults who agreed to be in the video: no minors, celebrities or strangers.
How does it compare with MakeViral, Vellm and Viberot?
These are the Plug Walk filter sites people are pointed to most. Figures are what each one publishes on its own Plug Walk page, as of October 2026.
| Output | Price | Free | Watermark | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MakeViral | One photo, 12-second car-window clip | 67 to 152 credits listed per clip; packs from $9.99 for 100 credits | Not published | None |
| Vellm | One photo, about 11 seconds, 9:16 1080p, exported without sound | $4.49 per video, no account needed | Not published | None |
| Viberot | One photo, 480p or 720p, with a music clip | 85 credits at 480p, 176 at 720p; $9.90 for 600 credits | 20 credits a month (less than one clip) | Not published |
| RapTwins | One photo, 12 s, 9:16, 480p to 1080p, the trend’s own sound in the MP4 | 23 to 645 credits; $5 trial | Not at the moment | None |

Plug Walk AI FAQ
Is the Plug Walk filter on CapCut?
CapCut has a template called "Plug Walk", but it is an older walking edit of your own footage, with no car window or dollar. The car-window version is made from a photo with an AI video model, like the generator on this page.
Can I make the Plug Walk alien meme GIF here?
No. The alien GIF comes from Rich The Kid’s 2018 music video. This tool makes the 2026 car-window clip as an MP4 with a person from your photo; you can turn a few seconds of it into a GIF in any GIF maker.
Where can I find the Plug Walk alien meme lyrics?
The meme dances to Rich The Kid’s "Plug Walk"; its lyrics are on licensed lyrics sites and in Spotify and Apple Music. The AI video carries the sound of the car-window take, not on-screen lyrics.
Is the Plug Walk AI video free, and is there a watermark?
Not at the moment: every clip is paid in credits, from 23 credits (Seedance 2.0 Mini, 480p). The one-time $5 trial pack (73 credits) covers it without a subscription. Downloads never have a watermark, and failed clips are refunded.
Can I make it with my dog or with a friend?
Not with this template: it takes one photo of one adult, because the take has one person outside the car. For two people, the Wipe Me Down template takes two photos.
Can I post it to TikTok with the Plug Walk song?
Personal posts to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube fall under those apps’ music licences; picking "Plug Walk" from the app’s sound library is the safest way. A business account or a paid ad needs the song licensed or a commercial-library sound instead.
